al-Zarqawi killed again
"Iraq is checking reports that the Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi may have been killed during fighting in northern Iraq, the foreign minister, Hoshiyar Zebari, said yesterday. Mr Zebari said senior militants were at a house in the city of Mosul when US and Iraqi forces stormed it on Sunday, causing some of those inside to blow themselves up, but it could not yet be determined whether Zarqawi was among those killed. [...] However, the White House spokesman Trent Duffy, who was travelling with the US production, George Bush, in Asia, said it was "highly unlikely and not credible" that Zarqawi was among the dead in Mosul." Sheikh Jawad al-Kalesi, the imam of the al-Kadhimiyah mosque in Baghdad, told France's Le Monde newspaper on Friday: "I don't think that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi exists as such. He's simply an invention by the occupiers to divide the people." (17 September 2005) al-Jazeera

Yeah, they did that with Saddam too. Jackie Mason did a great sketch on that on A Night at the Opera (Mason live in London).
Heh, I'll have to see that Gert, it has got beyond ridiculous now with al-Zarqawi, is anyone taking this stuff seriously anymore ??
Just search for "Jackie Mason" in Amazon under videos. It's an overall brilliant performance, recorded during the early phases of the war. JM is one of the least recognised geniuses of comedy, and to hear it all from a Manhattan Jew (one who's not afraid to use that word) is just absolutely farcical. Well worth the money.
These kind of lies serve again to indoctrinate the "lesser endowed" in the great American public. Some of the stuff I see on wingnut repug blogs, indicates to me they lap all this up without questioning whatsoever.
But al-Jazeera, now that's propaganda. When will these people wake up?
Thanks for the info Gert I'll check that out now
and yeah those neocon blogs.....I don't know what planet they live on
j
I have been looking for sites like this for a long time. Thank you!
