'Britain is a surveillance society'

You have to laugh:

"Britain is "waking up to a surveillance society that is already all around us," the government's Information Commissioner has said. Richard Thomas spoke after research found people's actions were increasingly being monitored" BBC

"Mr Thomas called for a debate about the risks if information gathered is wrong or falls into the wrong hands."

Oh good fucking God, there's no such thing as the 'right hands' you worthless cretin.

"Today I fear that we are in fact waking up to a surveillance society that is already all around us," Mr Thomas said."

Well duh. I could have told you that for free and saved the glorious social democratic state a few quid on your wages.

The reality is this, those cameras need to come down, people need to tearing them down like the Berlin wall.

And people should not be paying taxes or accepting 'social political punishments' based on amalgamated lifestyle data, government departments should not be sharing information and the human ID radical quantized pleb-grid needs to be liquidated.

Goodnight.

Your Berlin wall analogy is the best pice of expressed analysis that I have ever read on the CCTV / Speedcamera problem. Ever.

They should all be vandalized and torn down with the same frequency that grafitti and other types of vandalism is done.

Quite why this has not happened yet escapes me...

Do people actually notice them, though?

They just block them out because they don't want to see them, they pretend they are not there, when you talk to people about them they are quite worried.

There was a piece a couple of days ago in the Guardian CIF by Henry Potter/Porter (?), they are wanting to install microphones in central London which actually I don't think is a new idea, and as I've long suspected merge all public and private CCTV into one grid. It makes you wonder who specifically is pushing this and quite why the police and other institutions are so content to go along with it.

Things are very very very serious and are getting worse and worse and worse. I think if Gordon Brown steps in you will see moves to basically dissolve the middle classes altogether.
